The Middle House Hotel

Once the local haunt of notorious smugglers and felons The Middle House Hotel now plays host to slightly more upmarket Winers & Diners! It also happens to be one of my favourite local pubs so when we were approached to help design and develop a new swanky website I jumped at the chance.  The previous website was dated, lacked responsive features and it was incredibly difficult for the client to make changes and alterations to the live website. This included the regular uploading of Menus which as a restaurant, is pretty key!

The hotel has recently invested a lot into areas of the pub including a garden Terrace and modern Brasserie, so it was important that the new website attracted the appropriate clientele to fill these new spaces. Particular focus has been paid to the Kitchen and Menu page as these are probably one of the key pages for visitors to the website who wish to scope out what's available.  Be it a Sunday roast or afternoon tea - it's now easier than ever for people to view all the current menus which are very easily updated and managed using an admin login to the website.

Other new features include the integration of Tripadvisor reviews to boost trust in site visitors and a reservations tab that links up with the clients third party booking system. All of which wasn't possible before. A news feed has also been added so latest goings-on and perhaps even the odd cocktail recipe can all be shared with a few clicks of a button.

We've also created an area of the website dedicated to the rooms that are available to book. Showing off photography of the spaces within the Grade 1, Elizabethan property.

It's safe to say this new website is pretty future proof and will no doubt serve the hotel well into the future of the property, all be it a tiny part of the hotel's history!
